Haddon Heights Fourth of July Celebrations

Haddon Heights will celebrate our Nation's 232st Birthday on Thursday, July 3rd and Friday, July 4th. The rain date for field activities, beer garden and parades is Saturday, July 5. Our Town's Independence Day Event are as follows:

The Field Activities & Beer Garden will be held at the HHYA baseball/softball complex on Atlantic Avenue on Thursday, July 3. The evening's events begin at 6:00 p.m. with field activities that include rides, tattoo artists, balloon artists, face painting and sand art necklaces. The evening's events will also include a Beer Garden for adults age 21 and up (proper ID required). The Beer Garden will feature a DJ and karaoke. The Independence Day Parade starts at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, July 4 from 3rd & Station Avenues with bands, floats, civic groups, antique cars, walking groups, decorated bicycles, decorated wagons and costumes. Participants are to meet at 4th and Station Avenue by 8:30 a.m. Parade and Baby Parade winners will be posted at the Library on July 5 and winners can pick up there prizes. If you would like to march in the parade or enter a float, please contact Chris Walter at 856-304-8263 no later than Monday, June 23.

The Youth and Family Parade for ages 7 and up is part of the main parade and open to every resident. Participants are to report to 4th and Station Avenues by 8:30 a.m. Contact Chris Walter at 856-304-8263 for additional information.

The Baby Parade for ages six and under assembles at 10th Avenue and Sycamore Street at 8:45 a.m. for registration and judging. Judging concludes at 9:15 a.m. so that participants can join the main parade as it proceeds down 10th Avenue. Contact Jim Cox at 546-6144 for addtional information. Parade and Baby Parade winners will be posted at the Library on July 5 and winners can pick up their prizes.

The 5K Firecracker Race will be held on July 4 at 8:00 a.m., rain or shine. Pre-registration will be held at the Haddon Heights Borough Hall, 625 Station Avenue on Thursday, July 3 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 4 race day registration will be held from 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. at Haddon Heights Baptist Church, 4th & Station Avenues.
